Welcome to Volusia Charitable Clinic
a project of Volusia Volunteers in Medicine
Our Mission is to meet the health and wellness needs of the working uninsured population in our community, while providing compassionate and comprehensive care with dignity and respect.
Who We Are
We are a volunteer-based medical facility providing health care for the working uninsured in need of medical care. We provide quality, charitable health care and preventative medical services in a caring environment to the working uninsured in Volusia County and the greater Daytona Beach area. The facility is not an emergency room or a walk-in clinic, but an appointment only primary care clinic. Patients will have to meet certain criteria before being seen. We are an initiative of the Daytona Beach Vision Foundation and are in partnership with Halifax Hospital, Florida Hospital, Bethune Cookman University, the Volusia County Health Department and other community health organizations. Widespread community support has included medical equipment and service, volunteers, and donations.
The Volusia Volunteers in Medicine clinic began providing free health care to the working uninsured residents of Volusia County in August of 2015. Since then, the clinic has grown to more than 20 hours of patient care each week and has seen more than 380 patients.
Quality medical care begins with skilled, experienced and caring professionals. Our patients are taken care of by a volunteer physicians and medical providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses in our community. We rely upon the volunteerism and dedication of caring professionals in our community. Please contact us if you would like to help and donate your time or resources to our cause.
Our patients are the reason our clinic was created. We want to help the working uninsured stay healthy and have access to primary care services. In order to become one of our patients, you must meet certain criteria.
